Tuesday - A visit to the fire station
Tuesday was a crazy day! My mom and the kids went with me while I went for what was supposed to be a quick look at a minivan that I saw online. It turned into an all day event of me looking at the van, wanting the van, trying to make the decision to buy the van, talking to Eric on the phone about the van, looking at a new van to make sure I couldn't get a better deal, and ultimately buying the van I loved. While I was doing paperwork on the van my mom took the kids to see my brother at the fire station.
Drew had a great time telling me about everything he got see there. He was amazed that Uncle Scott's fire truck had a computer in it! Now everytime we pass a fire truck or fire station he wants to know if it is Uncle Scott's.

Trip to Kansas - Monday
On Monday after a busy weekend at the dog show we decided to meet up with my friend Dawn and her little boy Logan who was born just a few weeks before Ryan.
I figured the best place to go was back to the Farmstead so the big guys could run off some energy. I had a great time talking to Dawn and the big kids were worn out. Definitely a successful day!
Somehow I managed to not get a picture of Dawn and Logan or the two little boys together. I guess that's what happens when you are trying to keep track of the big guys and take pictures.

Trip to Kansas Continued - Thursday
After making the drive on Wednesday we wanted a relaxing day so the kids and I met my brother Scott, his wife Jen and their kids at Deanna Rose Farmstead. It is an awesome place that is part park, part petting zoo and best of all FREE! If we lived in Kansas City we would be there all the time.
Drew and his cousin Dakota had a great time feeding the goats, running around on the playground, and fishing. Sarah and Brianna enjoyed looking at all the animals and watching their brothers run around. Ryan was an angel and slept through most of our time there!
After wearing the kids out at the Farmstead we headed out to the mall to do a little shopping at the Carter's store that Jen works at. Scott was nice enough to take the big boys to the playground while Jen and I spent all our money in Carters.

Our Trip to Kansas
In mid May I got the crazy idea to take all three kids to Kansas by myself for a week. So I packed up the kids and off we went. Amazingly the trip up there was really easy and the kids did great. We left around 4 am and the kids fell back asleep in the car after about an hour and then slept off and on all day. We only had to stop about every three hours for gas, potty breaks and to feed Ryan. I planned on the normal 11.5 hour trip taking us closer 14 after some longer stops, but the kids were great and we only made quick stops and made it to Kansas in 12 hours! More about our trip in the next couple of posts.

A Random day in May
Here are a few pictures from early May. That day we went down to play in the fountains at the children's museum, and then went to buy a new double stroller. It was a little cool that day and Drew quickly found out that the water was cold as well. But that didn't stop them - the poor kids had blue lips by the time they were done playing.
