Drew's 4th Birthday - May 10th

Here are a few pictures of us celebrating Drew's 4th birthday.
I'm going to try to figure out how to post the video of him opening a few of his presents.

Drew was very excited to see his binoculars that he had been asking us to get him for his birthday for weeks.

Ryan - 1 Month Old

These were taken just a few days before Ryan turned one month old.

Ryan's First Real Bath

When Ryan was about 2.5 weeks old his umbilical cord finally fell off. But life with 3 kids causes you to keep putting off giving the newest addition a real bath. Finally about a week later Ryan got a real bath rather than being wiped down with a washcloth. He wasn't sure at first what to think of the water, but then he relaxed and enjoyed it.

Tuesday April 21st - Ryan's first doctors appointment

Ryan had his first doctors appointment the Tuesday after we came home. He weighed 7lbs 9oz (3 ozs above his birth weight) and looked great. We were told to keep him away from large crowds for about another month until the RSV season ended since his lungs would have a hard time fighting off a cold.

I also realized that taking three kids to the doctors office when two of them do not like going is a trip I don't want to make often! Sarah screamed the whole time that the doctor was in the room because she was afraid he was going to touch her, Drew hid under the exam table whining because Sarah was screaming and he didn't want to talk to the doctor, and of course Ryan was an angel until I had to wake him up to take him out of the carrier so the doctor could look at him.

The first weekend with everyone home

Ryan's first weekend home was a beautiful weekend so we spent a lot of time outside working in the yard. Eric got the yard mowed, Drew helped me plant some flowers, Sarah ran around like a wild woman, and Ryan was an angel and just slept in his carseat.

Ryan's first night home

After spending a day around his big brother and sister this is what Ryan thought -

They're aren't bad most of the time

but they sure are loud! I have to scream just to be heard in this place!

So life has gotten a little busy and I haven't had time to update here in a month. I finally got all the pictures off the memory cards, so now I just have to sort through them and post some. I should have a couple of posts up in the next couple of days.

The Great Egg Hunt

A few pictures of the kids hunting eggs. Sarah was more interested in playing on the slide since she finally figured out how to climb it herself and Drew was running around the yard so fast I didn't get many pictures of him. After seeing Drew with a basket full of eggs Sarah finally decided that she would go pick up her eggs with a little help from Grandmommy.


The Easter Bunny had one last surprise for the kids - new sand for the sand box. We had gotten rid of the yucky old sand the weekend before so they were very happy to have a sandbox they could play in again. Maybe now we will be better at getting the lid back on the sandbox when they are done playing!
